McLaren driver Oscar Piastri was sidelined during the first practice session of the Formula One (F1) Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku after his car developed an energy unit issue, SİA reports.
The team said the problem could not be fixed before the session ended.
The setback cut short Piastri’s track time on the Baku City Circuit, where drivers are preparing for the weekend’s main events. The second practice session is scheduled for later in the day.
