The official flag of the Sumo World Championship was presented to Azerbaijan during the event held in Bangkok, Thailand, the Azerbaijan-Japan Martial Arts and Culture Association told SİA.
According to the association, the flag was received on behalf of the country by the association’s Vice President, Ulvi Agamirov.
The presentation marks the lead-up to next year’s championship, which is scheduled to take place in Baku, highlighting Azerbaijan’s growing role in hosting international martial arts competitions.
