Mesut Ozil announces end of his playing career

Germany's World Cup-winning midfielder Mesut Ozil has announced his retirement from football at the age of 34 on Wednesday, SIA refers to foreign media.

The experienced player wrote that he has ended his 17-year career.

Mesut Ozil has worn the uniforms of such clubs as "Başakşehir", "Fenerbagcha" of Turkiye, "Schalke" of Germany, "Werder" of Spain, "Real Madrid", and "Arsenal" of England.

The former Real Madrid and Arsenal player was a key member of Germany's World Cup-winning side in Brazil in 2014.
