Azerbaijan's Ombudsman awarded the "Altın Kadın" title in Turkish World Women's Platform
Sabina Aliyeva, the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Ombudsman) was awarded the "Altın Kadın" (Golden Woman) award of the Turkish World Women's Platform for her services in organizing the effective operation of the Ombudsman institution, her multifaceted and efficient activities in the field of protection of human rights and freedoms in Azerbaijan including - the work she has continuously done in the international arena in the direction of restoring the violated rights of refugees and internally displaced persons and the civilian population damaged by the war.
Deputies, representatives of central and local executive authorities, mass media, and civil society institutions took part in the award presentation ceremony.
At the presentation ceremony, Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva thanked the organizers for being awarded the "Altın Kadın" award and emphasized that Azerbaijani women have always been brave and proud throughout history, with raising heroic children worthy of the motherland.
The Ombudsman congratulated the Azerbaijani women who gave birth to our martyrs who died for the freedom of our country, our veterans who fought heroically, instilled the spirit of patriotism and love for the country, and gave them proper education. She ended her speech by congratulating all the people of Azerbaijan on the upcoming November 8th - Victory Day and November 9th - Flag Day.
