Hungarian scientists visit Lankaran Regional Scientific Center

Hungarian scientists have visited the Lankaran Regional Scientific Center of ANAS, scientists of the Hungarian Dendrological Foundation visited the Lankaran Regional Scientific Center (LREM). Director of LREM Professor Farman Guliyev met with Debreczy Zsolt, Ph.D. in biology, founder and head of research of Budapest-Hungarian International Dendrological Foundation, and the representative of the foundation, Istvan Racz, Ph.D. and gave them extensive information about the scientific research activities conducted at the center.

Later, the Hungarian scientists visited the Experiment area of ​​the center, where they got to know the cultivated tea and citrus plants. Professor Farman Guliyev told the guests about the scientific research conducted at the institution, particularly the achievements in the field of creating new tea varieties. They were also given detailed information about citrus plants, lemon, tangerine, guava, endemic and exotic plants brought from different countries of the world, which are the object of research. After tasting the black tea processed in laboratory conditions from the leaves of the new tea variety "Fermanchay" plant, the scientists informed that they highly appreciated it. The Hungarian scientists, who were satisfied with the meeting, agreed on conducting joint research work with LREM.

Aydan Gurbanova, a young employee of the center, participated closely as a translator in conveying the work done at the institution to the guests.
