On October 10, 2022, the opening ceremony of the Foreign Policy Program for young diplomats who started working in diplomatic service bodies was held at ADA University.
ADA University vice-rector, director of the Development and Diplomacy Institute, Fariz Ismayilzadeh delivered the welcome speech at the event. The director congratulated the young diplomats who started their careers and wished them success in their future activities.
Speaking later, Elnur Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, congratulated the participants who successfully passed the diplomatic service entrance exam. Stating that a great burden is placed on the diplomats in the successful implementation of the foreign policy of our country in the changing conjuncture of international relations. The deputy minister noted the importance of always prioritizing the national interests of Azerbaijan in this regard. Bringing information about Azerbaijan's independence history and foreign policy to attention, the deputy minister said that despite the end of the conflict after the 44-day Patriotic War, there are still threats and dangers to peace and security in the region. In this regard, the deputy minister advised the young diplomats to further increase their knowledge and skills and actively participate in the trainings held for this purpose, in order to be able to respond to the current challenges.
At the opening ceremony, Nargiz Ismayilova, the director of Specialization Programs of ADA University, made a presentation about the modules of the program and the trainers who will present the modules.
Later, the head of the personnel department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Raman Mammadov, the head of the department, Gunay Rahimova, and the deputy director of the Development and Diplomacy Institute of ADA University, Aygun Hajiyeva, spoke and shared their thoughts about the program with the event participants and wished them success.
After that, the participants of the program spoke and expressed their expectations and suggestions about the program, as well as expressing their gratitude to the program organizers.
