The next Board meeting of the Ministry of Youth and Sports was held on August 30. According to the agenda of the meeting, the perspective work plan of the Ministry of Youth and Sports for the llth half of 2022 was approved. In addition, a number of issues were discussed and relevant decisions were made.
The meeting also discussed the reference of the special commission on the recognition of the sports and disciplines spread throughout the country, and the granting of republican sports federation status to public associations. According to the decision of the board, the accreditations of "Azerbaijan Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation", "Azerbaijan National Sports Association" PU and "Azerbaijan Golf Federation" PU were approved. In addition, the federation status of "Azerbaijan Gochyu-ryu Okinawa Karate-do and Kobudo-Kempo Types of Sports Federation" PU and "Visually Impaired Chess and Checkers Federation" PU has been suspended.
According to the presentation of the special commission operating under the ministry, the number of federations whose status has been confirmed by the decision of the Board has reached 29. In total, the status of 27 federations has been suspended. The process of reviewing the status of federations also continues.
At the collegium meeting, a decision was also made to award Namig Rafiq oglu Heybatova and Elchin Nazim oglu Hasanov "Honored coach of the Republic of Azerbaijan", Lamiya Rovshan gizi Valiyeva and Raman Sergeevich Salei "Honored master of sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan".
