The role of social media in the formation of public opinion and information exchange in modern times is undeniable. In addition to social media, social networks also have the ability to broadcast information, deliver important messages, and influence a wide audience. According to the statement given to SIA by the press service of the State Committee on Family, Women, and Children's Problems, the potential of social networks is used to promote the Azerbaijani family model and family values, as well as gender equality, protect the rights of women and children, and fight against gender-based domestic violence. Correct orientation of society by using social networks is one of the important issues today. In its activities, the State Committee on Family, Women and Children's Issues devotes a lot of space to cooperation with civil society institutions, mass media, as well as bloggers.
As a continuation of the activities carried out in this direction, taking into account the proposal of the Public Council under the Committee and the importance of the topic, the contest "The most active blogger on the promotion of family values, women's and children's rights" is announced among social network bloggers.
The purpose of the competition is to promote family values, women's and children's rights on social networks, to establish cooperation with socially active youth in this direction, to deliver calls to a wide audience in the direction of the fight against violence, child marriages, human trafficking, drug addiction and other harmful situations. Correct transmission of information about the work done to the society, promotion of new innovative possibilities in the regulation of domestic relations.
At the end of the competition, the most active bloggers whose activities are evaluated by the Jury in terms of interesting, informative, different content preparation and distribution, social impact opportunities and people's trust indicator, as well as sharing statistics related to the topic, will be awarded with plaques, diplomas and gifts. The presentation ceremony is planned to be held in December 2022.
