"Icherisheher" State Historical-Architectural Reserve Department appealed to the public. The application received from the administration to the SIA states that the place known as the Old City and Castle Reserve is the most valuable pearl of Baku and our country as a whole, and at the same time, it is a reserve where historical architectural monuments are protected. "In addition to being a legendary place where different cultures, religious beliefs, contrasts meet harmoniously and create perfect harmony, Icherisheher and Castle Reserve are the national wealth of the Azerbaijani people with ancient history and rich culture.
Architectural and historical monuments of world, national and local importance in these unique places, which are a unique relic of the highly developed urban planning art of our country in the middle ages, are bright examples of Azerbaijani architecture, and according to Article 77 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, it is the duty of every person to protect these monuments. The preservation of our cultural heritage, which has passed the test of captivity, has happened thanks to the state's policy, society's attitude to our cultural heritage and the responsibility of each individual.
However, we regret to note that during the monitoring conducted by the "Icherisheher" State Historical-Architectural Reserve Department, unpleasant situations are sometimes identified. We always cooperate with law enforcement agencies regarding acts of vandalism that violate the artistic and aesthetic appearance of the mentioned historical monuments. Cooperation with law enforcement agencies in this field always contributing factor. For your information, we inform you that illegal actions committed against historical monuments create liability and are grounds for prosecution under the Code of Administrative Errors of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the Criminal Code. However, it is the responsibility and duty of every citizen to respect our cultural heritage and protect it from harm's way.
