JOURNALISTS' IMPRESSIONS OF SHUSA - SURVEY

The Center for Analysis and Communication of Economic Reforms of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan held a two-day summer school training for journalists specializing in business and economics on the eve of the National Press Day on July 22. The employees of the Central Bank, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the State Customs Committee, the State Tax Service, the State Employment Agency, as well as the employees of the IITKM participated in the training. About 30 TV and online media representatives participated in the 2-day training. So, what are the impressions of the journalists participating in the training about the summer school organized jointly by the Center for Analysis and Communication of Economic Reforms and the Media Development Agency in Shusha?

SIA has learned the thoughts of journalists on the subject:

Gunel Abbas, an employee of "Yeni Azərbaycan" Newspaper, said that she feels proud and happy to be in Shusha on the eve of July 22 - National Press Day: "Today the city of Shusha is liberated and we welcome Press Day in free Shusha. I am sure that the soul of the Great Leader is also happy. Because he also wished to see these days. He bequeathed the realization of this day and wished Shusha to become one of the most beautiful corners of Azerbaijan. Great things have been done in Shusha since the liberation of the city of Shusha and our lands from the occupation by Supreme Commander-in-Chief to make these dreams come true. Based on what we have seen, we can say that our state has reached the goal set for the current stage. For this reason, I express my thanks to the head of our state. I would say that all my colleagues with whom we participated in the trip share the same opinion. We are all grateful to the Commander-in-Chief and the Azerbaijan Army for this amazing sight.

Although this is my second trip to Shusha, I am just as excited as the first time. Shusha is a place that every Azerbaijani wants to see, it is the place of worship of our people. Today, each of our colleagues participating in the trip together with us is experiencing the joy of Shusha. We heard good news about the construction works in Shusha and wrote about it. Today, we will tell our friends about the high-level reconstruction works that we have seen with our own eyes, and we will widely cover the work done in the territories freed from occupation in the media organizations we work for. That's why we consider ourselves very lucky."

Zaur Mirzayev, an employee of AZERTAC Information Agency, noted that holding such a training for journalists in Shusha is of great importance: "Thanks to this training, we will expand our experiences in the economic field, and we also visited Shusha, which has been freed from occupation. Among the journalists were those who came to Shusha for the first time. For this reason, I think that there is a need to hold such trainings. I am grateful to the Center for Analysis and Communication of Economic Reforms and the Media Development Agency for organizing a summer school for journalists in Shusha."

According to Aysel Aslan, an employee of the "Modern.az" website, the summer school organized for journalists in Shusha included important trainings containing important information related to the business field: "we listened to the presentations of professional experts and addressed our questions on tax, financial and banking sector, customs, insurance, as well as digital economy and other topics.

I think that at a time when the economy is of great importance, it was an important step to involve journalists in professional training in this field. I believe that the knowledge we have gained will help us a lot in the articles we will prepare.

Another point that made the summer school important for me was that it was organized in Shusha. For the first time after the Patriotic War, I had the opportunity to see the magnificence of Shusha in real life. On every stone of our cultural capital, there are traces and records of our heroes who died in the Patriotic War. Enjoying the beauty of Shusha together with our colleagues, we recited prayers for the souls of our martyrs. Therefore, I express my gratitude to the organizers of the summer school of journalists held in Shusha."

"Vision TV" employee Orkhan Karimov started by saying that we are in Shusha, a city that every Azerbaijani dreams of seeing: "The summer school organized jointly by the Center for Analysis and Communication of Economic Reforms and the Media Development Agency is very important for every journalist who participates here. Because we will expand our experience thanks to this training. I think that there is a great need to hold such trainings for journalists in the liberated territories. In this regard, I express my thanks to the Center for Analysis and Communication of Economic Reforms and the Media Development Agency."

Nigar Hasanli, an employee of "Yeni Musavat" newspaper, noted that this is her first visit to Shusha: "I have been wishing for this day since the day Karabakh was liberated from occupation. Not only that, it's the first time I'm coming to Shusha, in general, to Karabakh. I am doubly happy and proud that I was in Shusha on my first visit. This pride increased even more when he looked at the valley while walking on the Jıdır plain. We have heard a lot about how our brave men climbed these rocks. Seeing with our eyes is completely different. When you look down, you feel panicked.

One cannot hide his amazement when he thinks that our heroes climbed those rocks despite the fatigue of the war that lasted for days and the weapons and ammunition that increased the weight. How is this possible? I pray for God's mercy to our martyrs who gave us this pride. I wish healing to our veterans.

Karabakh is already reviving. Shusha is reminiscent of a large construction site. Employees even work at night to deliver projects on time. Roads are built, buildings are constructed, infrastructure in the city is maintained according to modern standards.

I would also like to emphasize the role of soldiers and police officers who protect our Karabakh, including the safety of visitors.

I would like to thank MEDIA and IITM for their high-level organization, which organized the visit to Shusha on the eve of the July 22 Press Day, in the "Year of Shusha".
