During the last control measures carried out by the State Environmental Security Service, it was determined that trees were illegally cut in the Nasimi district of Baku, as well as in Balaken and Yevlakh districts, and a total of 25,450 manats of damage was caused to nature.
The agency informed SIA that acts was drawn up regarding the facts of "Sharq Construction" LLC, "Lala textile" LLC, as well as Ramil Rajabov, a resident of Zagatala district. The amount of damage caused to the greenery in each case constitutes a crime. As a result the collected documents were sent to the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan for a legal assessment of the issue.
We urge the citizens to disallow the destruction of greenery, and to immediately inform the "Hotline" number 168 of the Ministry when such cases are detected.
