ABAD's new ethno-boutique in the Eastern Market

The opening of the 12th ethno-boutique of ABAD took place.

The ethno-boutique will operate in the newly restored Eastern Bazaar, which was inaugurated by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva. During the opening ceremony, the President and the First Lady visited the new planned-to-be launched ethno-boutique of ABAD, and got acquainted with ABAD products.

The Eastern Bazaar has been one of the symbols of the capital since 1982 and is included in the list of historical monuments of the country. The organization of the complex was based on the traditional principles of closed eastern markets, with the idea of an inner courtyard, decorated with typical oriental domes and ornaments.

Since 2008, the complex had become unusable. However, in 2018, the PMD Projects group started the reconstruction of the building.

Thus, the "Eastern Market" has reopened its doors to those who love architecture, traditional decorative and applied arts, craftsmanship and oriental cuisine. For this reason, it was considered expedient to open the ethno-boutique of ABAD here as an organization that contributes to the promotion and development of decorative-applied folk art. At the same time, the products of hundreds of existing and future ABAD artists will be sold here in a market that is attractive in terms of tourism.
