The forum "Volunteering in the social sphere" dedicated to the 3rd anniversary of the "Voluntary DOST" program of the DOST Agency on the table of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population started today. SIA reports that the forum was organized by the "Voluntary DOST" program in partnership with the DOST Center for Inclusive Development and Creativity, the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation and the Union of Voluntary Organizations of Azerbaijan.
The forum, organized at the DOST Center for Inclusive Development and Creativity, aims to promote the participation of young people in socio-economic, socio-political and cultural life, volunteering in the social sphere and its benefits, the sustainability of corporate social responsibility.
Minister of Labor and Social Protection Sahil Babayev, Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev, Chairman of the State Customs Committee Safar Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Citizen Services and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chief of the State Migration Service Vusal Huseynov, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Farhad Hajiyev, Executive Director of the Youth Foundation Farid Jafarov, Chairman of the Union of Voluntary Organizations of Azerbaijan Yusif Valiyev, Chairman of the Board of DOST Agency Farid Mammadov and others attended the forum.
The forum began with an exhibition of handicrafts by individuals with disabilities.
Babayev congratulated the participants of the "Voluntary DOST" program on the 3rd anniversary of the program. He stressed the importance of the "Volunteer DOST" program in the expansion of the volunteer movement in our country.
The Minister stressed the importance of the activities of the program participants in the great success of the DOST brand in a short time, in achieving high citizen satisfaction in DOST centers. He said that the volunteers in these centers support the needy in such a noble way as helping people in need of special care, as well as gain great experience in the social sphere.
Other speakers congratulated the participants of the "Volunteer DOST" program and spoke about the importance of volunteering.
F.Mammadov made a presentation on the "Voluntary DOST" program. It was noted that the volunteer activity in the DOST Agency was organized in 3 directions, including the sub-programs "Young DOST", "Silver DOST" and "Distant DOST". Over the past period, the program received more than 60,000 applications, of which more than 2,000 people were involved in volunteer activities.
