An event dedicated to the April 23 national sovereignty and children's holiday was held at the Heydar Aliyev Palace today. The event was also attended by Deputy Minister of Education Mukhtar Mammadov, SIA reports. During his speech, he stressed the importance of transmitting the friendship between the two countries to future generations.
"Great Leader Heydar Aliyev has always said that children are our wealth. He said that just as we raise our children, so will our future. Today, we continue our friendship and brotherhood on the basis of the legacy left to us by two great leaders, Heydar Aliyev and Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, and strategic expressions that express our future. There are no two countries in the world that have a common brother in every issue, such as Azerbaijan and Turkey. There are no two separate states next to each other, whether on a good day or in a sad day. Two years ago, during the Great Patriotic War, we once again witnessed the strong ties between Azerbaijan and Turkey.
Our future is children. Therefore, it is important to instill this brotherhood in our children. Today is their holiday. Not only do I congratulate the children's holiday here today, but also those in any part of the world. "
