The overhaul of the Nasimi tanker belonging to the Maritime Transport Fleet of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) has been completed.
According to the information given by CJSC to SIA, the repair work carried out at “Zykh” Ship Repair and Construction Plant was carried out in a short time.
During the repair, the submarine and surface parts of the tanker, the deck and the machine room were cleaned and painted. The main and auxiliary engines, pumps, separators and compressors were repaired.
Hull-welding, electrical installation and automation works were also carried out on the ship. New pipes have been installed in the tanker as well.
A new type of stationary ultra-shortwave radio station, magnetic compass, exolot, speedometer, inmarsat satellite communication terminal, emergency and rescue radios and radio transmitters, Automatic Identification System (AIS) and radar station have been installed in the field of communications and electroradionavigation.
At the same time, living rooms, toilets and canteens belonging to the crew of the ship "Nasimi" were renovated.
After the repair, the tanker successfully passed the offshore test and was again involved in the transportation of crude oil.
It should be noted that the Nasimi is 149.9 meters long, 17.3 meters wide and has a full carrying capacity of 13.8 thousand tons.
