A polling station in Baku has been opened for French citizens in the capital. The statement came from French Ambassador to Azerbaijan Zakari Gross on Twitter, SIA reports.

"Voting is open! French school in Baku, "the ambassador wrote, sharing photos from the Baku French Lyceum.

The first round of presidential elections will be held in France today. The first information on voter turnout is expected to be announced at 12:00 (14:00 Baku time). The first forecasts and results of the exit poll will be made public after 20:00 (22:00 Baku time).

French voters will have to vote for one of the 12 presidential candidates.

The youngest candidate in the political race for the presidency is 44 years old (Macron), the oldest participant is 70 years old (Melenchon).
