An event was held to celebrate the World Autism Awareness Day - Photos

April 2 - to celebrate the World Autism Awareness Day, the Friendly Inclusive Development and Creativity Center organized an event called "Embrace Difference". The event was attended by Minister of Labor and Social Protection Sahil Babeyev, Minister of Culture Anar Karimov, Minister of Health Teymur Musayev, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva, Chairman of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Bahar Muradova, Chairman of the State Agency for Citizen Services and Social Innovations under the President Ulvi Mehdiyev, as well as government officials and public figures attended.

Classical music was performed by an inclusive string quartet in the lobby of the center.

The guests got acquainted with the exhibition of children's paintings and ceramics made by children with autism spectrum (including autism syndrome). It should be noted that the works displayed at the exhibition were created by the beneficiaries of the Friendly Center for Inclusive Development and Creativity, as well as members of the Autism Center under the Joint and Healthy Public Union.

The official part of the event was held in the theater hall of the Center. Minister of Labor and Social Protection Sahil Babayev informed about the ongoing projects implemented in our country for the rehabilitation of children with autism.

Then the musicians of the newly created inclusive chamber orchestra performed a concert program at the Center. The participants of the event were presented with a play "Embrace Difference", which was performed by Seljan Khatun, actress of the "Oyug" theater studio and Zulfiya Gurbanova, actress of the Azerbaijan State Municipal Theater. Demonstrating the difficult path of a person's life, his struggle, and finally the fact that love is a medicine for them, he drew attention to their integration into society in this way.

Afterwards, the guests of the event also watched the capoeira theatrical number of 2 beneficiaries and capoeira trainers. The event continued with compositions in the classical and pop genres performed by people with autism and disabilities.

The event included paintings by children with autism, ceramics, wood carvings and handicrafts in the field of floristics, as well as culinary. An exhibition and sale of children's sweets was also organized in the field.

It should be noted that the authors of the works displayed at the exhibition created these paintings in a short period of time. Nevertheless, the artists were able to reflect their worldview in the harmony of colors.
