The definition of agriculture as a priority area in the Autonomous Republic has created conditions for increasing local production, creating export opportunities and ensuring employment. Today, the provision of landowners and farmers, as well as family farmers with modern agricultural machinery and technological equipment is one of the main measures to increase the profitability of production. The application of modern technologies in the agricultural sector allows you to harvest without losses and on time, increase productivity, reduce manual labor and reduce costs.
On April 5, Nakhchivan Agroleasing Open Joint-Stock Company presented new agricultural machinery and equipment, SIA reports. Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov attended the event.
The First Deputy Prime Minister of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Elshad Aliyev said that as a result of systematic reforms and comprehensive work in the agricultural sector, agriculture in the autonomous republic has reached a modern stage of development. The application of new technologies is an important condition for achieving high results in the agricultural sector. As a result of the care shown to this area in the Autonomous Republic, the fleet has been completely renewed. At present, various machinery and equipment produced by the world's leading companies are used by landowners and farmers of the autonomous republic. At present, there are 473 machines and equipment on the basis of Nakhchivan Agroleasing Open Joint-Stock Company. During the period of the company's activity, AZN 11,841,000 discount was applied to 1,180 entrepreneurs for leased equipment. In connection with the implementation of the relevant Orders of the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in 2021 and three months of 2022, 10 small tractors, 3 small cotton, 9 plows, 25 wet and dry mowers, 9 barley-wheat threshing machines, 5 milling cutters , 1 small rotary mower, 3 milking units, 1 trailer, 2 small potato harvesters, 1 rake, 4 hammers, 2 mowers and 110 sets of irrigation systems were leased to small family owners. Elshad Aliyev thanked for the created conditions.
Then information was given about spring sowing. It was noted that the weather conditions allowed the start of spring sowing. In a short period of time, spring sowing was carried out on more than 1,700 hectares in accordance with agro-technical rules. Last year, onions were planted on 105 hectares of land, excluding individual farms. To date, onions have been planted on 152 hectares. Potato planting has reached 318 hectares, including late, medium and early maturing varieties. This year, the task is based on oilseeds - corn and sunflower. To date, corn has been planted on more than 50 hectares, and sunflower has been planted. Also, seeds needed by landowners were purchased and sold at the Nakhchivan Seed Center public legal entity.
Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov said: "The work done in the agrarian sector in the Autonomous Republic allows for the full and efficient use of land." There are comprehensive conditions for irrigating lands, increasing their fertility and carrying out sowing works in accordance with agro-technical rules. After gaining independence, agrarian reforms were first launched in the autonomous republic. The reforms initiated by our national leader Heydar Aliyev in Nakhchivan were later applied in our country as a whole. Today, Azerbaijani peasants already have both land and machinery. As a result of the work done in the field of agro-leasing since 2006, about 3,000 machines have been leased in the autonomous republic, and about 70 percent of these machines have been transferred to the private ownership of entrepreneurs with full payment. This will allow both competition and the elimination of previous problems in the cultivation of land.
The Chairman of the Supreme Assembly said: Every year new lands in the autonomous republic join the crop rotation. In 2021, about 970 hectares of new lands in the autonomous republic were put into cultivation. This includes both orchards and fields. We also need machinery to plant and cultivate them. An appropriate body has been set up to bring the equipment. This body also performs its work properly, the tasks are performed on time. Today, there are no problems in the field of agro-leasing services provided to the population and leased equipment in the autonomous republic. Nakhchivan Agroleasing Open Joint Stock Company already provides both leasing and maintenance services. As a result of the work done, today the number of landowners and farmers in the autonomous republic is growing, abundant crops are produced, the demand for many products is met by local production, and employment is provided.
The Chairman of the Supreme Assembly said: There was no food shortage in the Autonomous Republic both during the pandemic and during the 44-day Second Karabakh War. Today, prices in the markets are stable, there is production, and the population, along with the expansion of arable land from year to year, also learns modern rules of agro-technical care, which increases productivity. Therefore, agro-leasing activities should be continued in the field of public services, machinery and equipment should be leased at the request of the population, and the prices of equipment left over from previous years should be reconsidered by the Cabinet of Ministers. Continuation of this work will create conditions for increasing the productivity and range of products in the field of agriculture in the autonomous republic in the future. If during the Soviet Union and the first years of independence, potatoes, onions and other agricultural products were imported to the autonomous republic, mainly from other places, today the autonomous republic is self-sufficient in these products. Even for several years now, the export of agricultural products from the autonomous republic has begun. These are achievements.
The Chairman of the Supreme Assembly thanked those who contributed to the development of the agricultural sector and wished them success in their future endeavors. Then there was a review of new equipment. It was noted that 3471 machines and technological equipment were purchased by Nakhchivan Agroleasing Open Joint-Stock Company during its activity, of which 2,900 were leased to entrepreneurs. By order of the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly, 4 corn, sunflower and vegetable weavers, 4 barley-wheat threshing machines, 2 heifers, in order to ensure the technical support of entrepreneurs in 2021 and 2022, respectively, in accordance with their needs and orders. A total of 69 agricultural machinery were purchased, including 18 mowers, 9 rotors and hand mowers, 4 chisels, 6 backhoes, 12 fertilizers, 10-year-old and dry mowers. A total of 380 units of machinery and technological equipment were leased to entrepreneurs in 2021, 97 in cash, 32 in 2022 and 2 in cash.
It was noted that medicines used in various fields of agriculture, especially fertilizers that are important in protecting vegetables against pests, are sold in the community itself and in plant and animal pharmacies located in regional bases. Landowners and farmers are informed in advance about the use of drugs. The company also has spare parts for agricultural machinery. During the inspection of fertilizer storages, it was noted that a total of 100 tons of composite fertilizers were purchased this year, which are sold to entrepreneurs. Fertilizer reserves have been created in the regional bases of the society. The distribution of urea fertilizer to grain producers for 2021-2022 has already been completed. The Chairman of the Supreme Assembly established a mobile pharmacy by the Ministry of Agriculture, purchased sunflower harvesting equipment, leased and sold new machinery and equipment, planted municipal and state-owned lands by Nakhchivan Agroleasing Open Joint-Stock Company, planted sunflowers and instructed to promote corn planting.
