The Media Development Agency (MEDIA) of Azerbaijan hosted a meeting with Mohammed bin Abdulrab Al-Yami, Director General of the Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), SİA informs, citing MEDIA.
During the discussion, MEDIA's Executive Director Ahmad Ismayilov emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation among media organizations against the backdrop of rapidly changing challenges in the global information space.
He highlighted the significance of organizing experience exchanges, promoting media and digital literacy, and expanding coordinated efforts against disinformation, misinformation, and hate speech.
Al-Yami, in turn, stressed the importance of responsible and transparent use of innovative technologies, particularly artificial intelligence tools, in the media sector during the era of digital transformation.
The director general noted that the application of new technologies in content creation, verification, and management must be carried out in line with professional journalism principles and ethical standards.
The meeting also included discussions on enhancing media literacy, promoting information security, applying innovative solutions in the media field, and exploring future cooperation prospects.
