Within the framework of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) hosted by Baku, the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA) under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport ensured the comfortable, uninterrupted, and safe transportation of visitors and participants using Neoplan brand and electric buses, the AYNA told SİA.
Transportation of visitors arriving for the forum was organized from Heydar Aliyev International Airport. In total, 9 HUBs, 2 final stops, and more than 67 intermediate stops operated during WUF13.
During the three days of the forum (May 17–19), buses carried out 3,260 trips between HUBs and the event venue, transporting 56,858 passengers.
Overall, from May 12 to May 19, a total of 5,555 trips were completed between the airport, HUBs, and the venue, transporting 68,263 passengers. Around 180 buses were involved in the operations.
It was noted that AYNA's Monitoring Center monitored routes and transport operations 24/7. Nearly 1,500 staff members, including drivers and management personnel, were engaged in ensuring smooth operations.
