Azerbaijani media should serve as promoters of peace on the international stage, Deputy Executive Director of the Media Development Agency Natig Mammadli said.
According to SİA, Mammadli made the remarks during the roundtable discussion titled "President Ilham Aliyev's Peace Strategy – A Guarantee of Stability."
He noted that ongoing global developments clearly demonstrate that humanity"s primary needs remain peace and a dignified life.
"During his meeting with residents of Zangilan, President Ilham Aliyev once again delivered a message of peace. The head of state rightly noted that Azerbaijan is the author of peace in the region. The president"s peace initiatives are receiving broad support in society and the media space. Azerbaijan is a country shaping a model of peace," he said.
Mammadli also stressed the important role of the media in advancing peace initiatives.
"Azerbaijani media should act as advocates of peace. This mission is fully in line with the principles of media ethics," he added.
