The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan has issued a statement marking the anniversary of the April battles between Azerbaijan and Armenia, according to SİA.
The ministry said ten years have passed since the April battles, which demonstrated the victorious determination of the Azerbaijani army.
"The successful counteroffensive operation carried out by the Azerbaijani army in response to provocations by Armenian armed forces on the night of April 1–2, 2016, outlines the beginning of the Glorious Path to Victory, leading to the full liberation of our territories from occupation. These battles are remembered with respect and pride by the Azerbaijani people and the state as the starting point of the Great Victory," the statement said.
