Azerbaijani city of Sheki hosted the cultural event “Land of Crafts” at the ABAD Ceramics and Applied Arts Center as part of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty,” SİA reports citing the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations (ASAN Service).
The event was organized by the Sheki City Executive Authority and ABAD, a public legal entity, with support from the State Tourism Agency.
The initiative aimed to preserve ancient craftsmanship traditions, promote their modern development, bring creative individuals together, and highlight cultural values.
Held in Sheki, a member of UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network, the event featured an exhibition showcasing works by ABAD artisans on the theme of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty,” alongside live demonstrations of various art forms. Guests had the opportunity to explore Shaki’s rich historical and cultural heritage, as well as creative works from artisans across Azerbaijan.
At the conclusion of the event, partner organizations and participating artisans were awarded certificates in recognition of their contributions to the preservation and promotion of traditional crafts.
