Azerbaijani сitizens injured in 44-day war testify in court

Azerbaijani citizens injured during the 44-day Patriotic War have given testimony in court.

On August 1, Akifa Bayramova, speaking at a session of the Baku Military Court, said that on the night of October 11, 2020, during the 44-day Patriotic War, a missile fired by the Armenian armed forces destroyed her home in Ganja.

According to SİA, she stated that she was injured as a result of the shelling. Bayramova also said that her grandson was pulled from the rubble, adding: “He is still undergoing treatment.”

Another victim, Sevinj Hasanova, testified that on October 5, 2020, while visiting her brother in Goranboy during the Patriotic War, she and her relatives were injured as a result of artillery shelling by the Armenian armed forces.

The trial continues against Armenian citizens accused of committing crimes against peace and humanity, war crimes, including waging an aggressive war, genocide, violations of international humanitarian law, terrorism, financing terrorism, violent seizure and retention of power, as well as a number of other crimes committed during Armenia’s military aggression.
