Over 1,300 Inquiries Received in the First Half of 2025

Azercell-Initiated Women’s Hotline Continues Supporting Women in Difficult Life Situations

In the first six months of 2025, the Women Helpline Service, launched on the initiative of Azercell and operating with the support and partnership of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the “ÜmidliGələcək” Social Initiatives Public Union, received a total of 1,306 calls.

According to the statistics, 329 inquiries were made with a request for psychological support, 209 callsreported the cases of domestic violence, and further 187 constituted appeals for legal assistance. Additional150 inquiries concerned social and financial welfare issues, 119 were related to difficulties in divorce processes, 73 focused on asylum-related matters, and 15 were about access to healthcare rights. The remaining 224 calls addressed general inquiries, questions about the service, and various other topics.

The callers received individual support from the hotline’s professional team, which includes psychologists, legal advisors, and social workers. When necessary, women were referred to relevant authorities, rehabilitation centers, or shelters for specialized legal, medical, or social assistance.

Launched by Azercell in 2022, the Women’s Hotline is dedicated to providing timely psychological, legal, and social support to women affected by domestic violence. The service plays an important role in facilitating their rehabilitation and reintegration into society. To this end, the service actively collaborates with community-based legal aid clinics, government institutions, and non-governmental organizations.
