On April 2, the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, and his wife, Elke Büdenbender, visited the Alley of Martyrs in Baku, SİA informs.
President Frank-Walter Steinmeier paid tribute to the memory of the heroes who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for Azerbaijan's independence and territorial integrity, and laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.
Then, the distinguished guest and his wife, viewing the panorama of the capital from the highest point of Baku, were informed about the history of the Alley of Martyrs and the improvement and construction work carried out in the city.
