When is the Night of Intention

The Night of Intention falls on the night of February 28 to March 1.

Coincidence of Ramadan and Novruz

The fatwa mentions that this year's Ramadan will coincide with Novruz, an ancient holiday of our people. From a religious perspective, such a concurrence of significant days does not create any difficulty in society.

Amount of Fitr Zakat

"A Fitr Zakat equivalent to 3 kilograms of the most commonly consumed food per person must be given. This should be distributed by both the poor and the wealthy according to their financial capacity. A minimum amount can be considered, but it is preferable for those who are financially well-off to give a medium or higher amount rather than the minimum," Deputy Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, Fuad Nurullayev told APA.

Date of the First Night of Qadr

According to the calendar, the first Night of Qadr will fall on the night from the 18th to the 19th of Ramadan, which corresponds to March 18.

Dates of Other Nights of Qadr

Additionally, other Nights of Qadr will be observed on the following dates:

The night from March 20 (20th to 21st of Ramadan),

The night from March 22 (22nd to 23rd of Ramadan),

The night from March 26 (26th to 27th of Ramadan).

End Date of Ramadan

The 1st of Shawwal, corresponding to March 30, will mark the celebration of Eid al-Fitr (Ramadan Bayram).

12 Non-Working Days Due to Novruz and Ramadan Holidays

This year, there will be 12 consecutive non-working days in March due to Novruz and Ramadan holidays.

According to a decision by the Cabinet of Ministers, to ensure the continuity of work and rest days, March 27 and 28, 2025 (official workdays) have been swapped with March 10 and April 1 (official rest days).

Since March 8 (International Women's Day) falls on a Saturday, March 10 will be considered a non-working day under the Labor Code. Additionally, since March 30 (Eid al-Fitr) falls on a Sunday, April 1 will also be a non-working day.

As a result, the following dates will be public holidays: March 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31.
