According to the Resolution No. 561 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 29, 2024, from January 1, 2025, the period of temporary stay of citizens of the Russian Federation in Azerbaijan and stateless persons permanently residing in the Russian Federation who arrive in the Republic of Azerbaijan without a visa cannot exceed 90 days within a calendar year, the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan states, SİA reports.
Noted that citizens of the Russian Federation and stateless persons permanently residing in the Russian Federation who wish to stay or reside in the country for more than 90 days during the year must apply to the State Migration Service for an extension of this period or issuance of a temporary residence permit before the expiration of their temporary stay, if there are grounds provided for by the legislation.
Citizens of the Russian Federation and stateless persons permanently residing in the Russian Federation who arrive in the territory of the country from January 1, 2025 are required to comply with this requirement.
