The measures implemented by Azerbaijan within the framework of COP29 are not limited to the country, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said at the conference themed "The Role of Small and Medium Businesses in the Green Economy," organized by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA), Report informs.
"Our goal is to implement a number of regional and even global initiatives. We should evaluate the regional implementation of the practices, pilot projects in a certain sense, applied in Azerbaijan. Our country can make many contributions to the COP process. Naturally, we should not implement this process alone. To achieve the broad effect of any policy and instruments, we must implement it together with international partners. The actions to be carried out in the coming months will be based on this philosophy," the minister said.
He added that the Ministry of Economy is preparing a number of initiatives in this regard: "One of them is the initiative of regional funds, the main goal of which is to increase the role of creative people. Because while providing financing for venture capital funds specialized in green startups, we will provide those solutions both in Azerbaijan and we will also be able to achieve its application in other countries covered by such an initiative".
