The amount of methane in the air in the capital has exceeded the norm.
The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources has released information through its press service, SIA reports.
It is reported that the monitoring of the air quality is carried out daily through automatic stations operating continuously in the Sabail, Khatai, Nizami, Narimanov districts of Baku and the territories of Sumgayit and Ganja.
Based on the analysis of the information obtained from the stations, it has been determined that the concentration of methane in the air over Baku is 1.2 times higher than the established norm, due to the intensive nature of traffic, industrial activities, and other anthropogenic influences.
