123 more individuals relocated to Aghali village in Azerbaijan

On September 13, another migration convoy set off from Masazir village in the Absheron district towards the rebuilt Agali village in Zangilan district, SİA reports.

So far, 25 families comprising 123 individuals, temporarily relocated in the cities of Baku and Sumgayit, as well as the Absheron district, will now commence their lives in their ancestral homeland. They are residents of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Agali villages, which were completely destroyed during the occupation by Armenians.

The residents of Agalı expressed their gratitude to President, Commander-in-Chief Muzaffar Ilham Aliyev, First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, to the brave Azerbaijani Army that saved our lands from occupation, and to our heroic soldiers and officers for being surrounded by comprehensive state care.

The allocation of new residential areas for displaced families is being conducted through a transparent and fair process based on the current regulations in force. This allocation process was carried out meticulously on September 8th at the Repatriation Department of the State Committee.

The departure ceremony was attended by representatives of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, the Special Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan districts, Zangilan District Executive Power and other officials.

With this, the number of families permanently settled in Agali village will reach 133, totaling 649 individuals. The process of resettlement will continue in the village.
