State Committee: 13.000 people will be relocated to Kalbajar until 2026

“Mr President laid the foundation stones for three villages, the first residential quarter in Kalbajar city, a secondary school, and Occupation and Victory museums,” First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture Namig Hummatov told journalists, APA reports.

“Apart from that, the development of spatial planning documents of Istisu settlement and additional 7 villages has been started by the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture. In 2024, the preparation of spatial planning documents for 4 villages will begin. In total, by 2026, 15 settlements - one city, one settlement and 13 villages - will be restored, as well as 3,500 apartments is expected to be constructed. Of them 1500 will be built in the city of Kalbajar, and 2000 in other areas. Starting from next year, until 2026, over 5,000 people will be relocated to the city of Kalbajar, and up to 8,000 people will be relocated to other areas,” Namig Hummatov added.
