The Jews in the territory of Azerbaijan have been living in peace and security for thousands of years, director of the Baku International Multiculturalism Center Ravan Hasanov said at the international conference “The Heritage and Culture of the Jews in the North and East Caucasus,” SİA informs.
Hasanov stressed that the rich Jewish cultural heritage that exists in Azerbaijan is the result of such peaceful coexistence.
“The fact that the Baku International Multiculturalism Center first organized a conference on Islamophobia, then a conference on the heritage of Christians, and now on the heritage of Jews, says a lot about the policy of our state. As our President Ilham Aliyev said, Azerbaijan is committed to the policy of multiculturalism, and there is no other alternative for us,” he said.
