The national flag of Pakistan was raised at the building of the Embassy of Pakistan in Azerbaijan on occasion of the Independence Day.
According to Report, the Pakistani flag was raised along with the national anthem of this country.
"Today we celebrate the Independence Day of Pakistan. On this important day for us, we remember all our leaders, the older generation and all those who gave their lives on the way to free Pakistan," Pakistani Ambassador to Azerbaijan Bilal Hayee said.
According to the Ambassador, today the prosperity of Pakistan and the development of a strong nation are in the hands of the younger generation.
"Only by uniting will we be able to overcome all obstacles," the ambassador added.
Hayee noted that Azerbaijan's partnership with Pakistan is exceptional: "Every day, the cooperation with Azerbaijan is expanding more and more, especially in the military and business spheres. The partnership in the tourism sector has deepened further with the launch of direct flights from Azerbaijan to Pakistan and vice versa."
