On July 27, a meeting was held with the participation of Emin Huseynov, the special representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the liberated territories included in the Karabakh economic region (except for Shusha region), organized by the Karabakh Revival Fund (QDF), among the representatives of the country's leading companies and the public, who are donors and partners of the QDF.
The recovery and construction process in Karabakh, the development of cooperation between business, society and state structures in this field, was organized in the framework of the business platform "Friends of the Karabakh Revival Fund" and was attended by the winners of the "Rise" competition, opinions were exchanged on the return of former internally displaced persons to Karabakh and other issues, SIA reports with reference to AZERTAC.
Emin Huseynov, special representative of the President, made a presentation on "Karabakh: Reconstruction and development, investment opportunities of the region" and gave extensive information about the reconstruction and construction works carried out in the territories freed from occupation.
He said that the process of restoration and reconstruction is going very fast, while pointing out that the amount of funds to be used for the restoration of the territories freed from occupation will reach 12 billion manats by the end of the year, and that these funds will increase year by year.
"Areas freed from occupation have great agricultural, economic and tourism potential, and after the restoration process is completed, these potentials will be widely used," the special representative said.
In his speech, Chairman of the Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, Rahman Hajiyev, shared his views on the rapid continuation of the restoration and reconstruction works in the territories freed from occupation, and said that the meetings held with the participation of the donors of the Karabakh Fund contributed to this process.
"During our earlier meetings, we mostly talked about the destruction and damage caused by the enemy in our lands. Today we are talking more about restoration and construction works. This is very gratifying," he added.
Saying that the scale of the damage is quite large, the Chairman of the Management Board called on everyone to be active in the recovery process.
"Azerbaijan, under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, is carrying out restoration works at the expense of its own capabilities and resources. We should not expect help from anyone. We should show solidarity and restore our lands ourselves, just like during the war. The steps we will take together can reduce the state's burden in the recovery process and speed up the work done in the direction of recovery and reconstruction," he stressed.
The meeting then continued with discussions. During the discussions lasting about an hour, numerous questions of the participants of the event were answered, the role of companies in the process of reconstruction and reconstruction of Karabakh, employment of young people in the territories freed from occupation, the Great Return process and other topics were exchanged.
