Within the framework of the Action Plan prepared by the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Central Office and approved by the Board of Directors regarding the "Year of Heydar Aliyev", the YAP Aghjabedi district organization held an event on May 3 at the district Cultural Center on the topic "A man who amazed the world".
SIA reports that firstly, the monument of the national leader Heydar Aliyev was visited, flowers were placed in front of it, and the dear memory of the Great Leader was commemorated with deep respect.
At the event, the dear memory of the great leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our land was commemorated with a minute of silence. Later, a film about the life and activities of the National Leader was shown.
Rovshan Ahmadov, chairman of the YAP Aghjabedi district organization, who opened the event with an opening speech, said that the services of the national leader Heydar Aliyev to the Motherland and the people are priceless. During the years he was in power, he turned Azerbaijan into a socio-economic, socio-political and culturally developed country. The comprehensive development of Azerbaijan has been closely connected with the name, personality, statesmanship thinking, management skill and tireless activity of the great leader Heydar Aliyev: "A genius personality who said with great pride from the highest podiums: "I have always been proud, and today I am proud that I am an Azerbaijani" is statehood, he laid the foundation of the modern stage of our history" the chairman noted.
Tahir Rzayev, a member of the YAP Veterans' Council, chairman of the Agrarian Policy Committee of the Milli Majlis, said that the great leader Heydar Aliyev has rendered exceptional services to our people with the work he did in the direction of the country's development in the first period of his leadership, with his courageous decisions and purposeful steps calculated for the future. Back in the 70s and 80s of the last century, when Heydar Aliyev turned the republic into a huge construction site, attached special importance to the construction of large-scale facilities, strategically important industrial enterprises, and achieved the breakthrough development of a number of new educational institutions, including culture, fundamental and applied sciences, it was precisely the future progress , laid a solid foundation for dynamic socio-economic development.
Şahin Ismayilov, a member of the YAP Board of Directors and a deputy of the Milli Majlis, said that one of the historical services of the Great Leader is the creation of the New Azerbaijan Party, which has a special role in the political environment of our country today. The New Azerbaijan Party, which celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, has always been at the forefront of political struggles, has contributed to the establishment of social and political stability in the country, the formation of the spirit of national statehood, the feeling of confidence in victory, and the achievement of the set goals.
Speaking at the event, MP Agil Abbas emphasized that the great leader Heydar Aliyev, who laid the foundation of the policy aimed at the development of Azerbaijan, brought great achievements to our people. He was the symbol of wisdom of the Azerbaijani people, the peak of wisdom. Looking from this peak, you can see not only the years of a lifetime, but the yesterday, today and tomorrow of a nation.
The head of Agjabedi District Executive Power, Rafil Huseynov, noted in his speech that after the election of the great leader Heydar Aliyev as the president in October 1993, the foundation of independent state building was laid. First of all, the National Leader has worked hard to restore social and political stability in the country, steps have been taken that serve the socio-economic development of our republic, and complex measures have been implemented in the direction of building an army. Azerbaijan has achieved historical success under the leadership of the Great Leader.
At the end of the event, certificates of honor were presented to a group of party activists who distinguished themselves in the social and political life of the region.
