11 new Regional DOST Centers to be opened in 2023-2026

With the opening of Baku DOST Center No. 5 in December of last year, the capital and Absheron region are already fully covered by DOST services. It is planned to create 11 new Regional DOST Centers, as well as 55 DOST branches and SMART DOST stations in 2023-2026.

SIA reports that this was announced at the next meeting of the Supervisory Board of DOST Agency.

The Chairman of the Council, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev pointed out that the DOST Agency and 6 DOST centers were opened in May 2019 by the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev, and the work on the construction of the Regional DOST infrastructure was continued. He emphasized that the DOST concept, which was the initiative of the First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, enables the provision of 154 services in social fields from a single window, on an operative, transparent, modern and innovative basis.

In the last period of this year, about 165,000 citizens were served in DOST Centers, in total, more than 1,434,000 citizens were served, and the level of citizen satisfaction with these services was 98.5 percent.

It was noted that the experience of DOST, which is an example of successful social reform of Azerbaijan, is highly appreciated at the international level. As a result of this, DOST Agency was awarded with 8 international awards last year. The Agency, which was selected as a finalist for 2 projects in international competitions, also obtained 4 international ISO certificates.

With the establishment of the regional DOST infrastructure, the entire population of the country, including the residents of liberated territories, will be fully covered by DOST services. At the same time, work will be continued in the direction of expanding the application of innovative approaches and technological solutions, developing DOST services and providing user comfort, increasing accessibility, and expanding international cooperation and exchange of experience.

At the meeting, Farid Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of DOST Agency, made a presentation on the activities of the Agency, including the DOST services provided to the population in the last period of 2023, the activities of Call Center 142, and the goals of the Agency.

At the meeting of the Supervisory Board, issues related to the activity of the DOST Agency, strategic goals and priorities were discussed.
