Azerbaijan's Ministry of Emergency sends another batch of humanitarian aid to Turkiye

At the instruction of President Ilham Aliyev, a third batch of humanitarian aid of the Ministry of Emergency is on its way to the fraternal country for assistance in eliminating the consequences of the powerful earthquake in Turkiye.

According to SİA, the humanitarian aid includes 1,015 tents and 240 stoves for accommodation of people affected by the destruction.

The humanitarian aid is sent on 9 trucks and accompanying vehicles.

The 7.7- and 7.6-magnitude earthquakes, centered in the Kahramanmaras province, affected more than 13 million people across 10 provinces including Adana, Adiyaman, Diyarbakir, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kilis, Malatya, Osmaniye and Sanliurfa.

Several countries in the region, including Syria and Lebanon, also felt the strong tremors that struck Turkiye in the space of less than 10 hours.

According to the recent data, the death toll from the earthquakes in Turkiye has exceeded 20,000 people.
