On January 18, 2023, a round table was organized with the participation of the youth of the region on the topic "Role of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in conveying the truths of January 20 to the world community", jointly organized by the Khojavend district organization of the New Azerbaijan Party and the Khojavend District Executive Authority.
SIA reports that the event was declared open after a minute of silence in memory of our martyrs who died for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
Vusal Huseynov, chairman of the Khojavend district organization of the New Azerbaijan Party, started the event with an opening speech.
"This tragedy was aimed at stifling the ideas of freedom and breaking the independence tendencies of our people, that the tragedy of January 20 could not break the determination of our people to fight for independence. The determination of our people to fight against the injustices became even more inflamed," the Chairman said.
Afsana Guliyeva, speaking about the bravery and political will of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, along with the people, said that it was thanks to the Great Leader that the first political and legal price was given to the bloody tragedy that befell the people of Azerbaijan. In her speech, she talked about how she came to her permanent representation in Moscow, accused the organizers of the bloody tragedy in front of the world community, making a revealing and courageous statement.
Then, the deputy head of Khojavand District Executive Power, Afsana Guliyeva, the martyr's father, Agil Hagverdiyev, an active YAP member, executive power employee Narmina Suleymanova, continued the speeches around the round table.
"The January 20 tragedy was written as a bloody and glorious page in our history, and this point was the beginning of our new history of independence. We gained independence as a result of the will, endurance, and unity of our people, from the services rendered by the Great Leader in our political history, from the great steps he took in political and legal assessment of the tragedies and genocides committed against our people, today Mr. President Ilham Aliyev, who successfully continues the policy of the Great Leader," said the members, talking extensively about politics and the successful domestic and foreign policy conducted in Azerbaijan.
Ziya Akbarli, Asim Rustam, and Emil Jafarov, talked about the actions taken by our compatriots living abroad in order to convey the January 20 tragedy to the world community, and about the serious work being done in the direction of the organization, unity and activation of the Azerbaijani diaspora. "In 1993, our national leader Heydar Aliyev's coming to power not only saved Azerbaijan's statehood, but also laid the foundation for the unification of our people around a single ideology. The national idea put forward by the great leader was able to unite all citizens of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijanis of the world and all people connected to Azerbaijan around one goal and one idea. It was the ideology of Azerbaijaniism that had the greatest role in the formation of a single state and the creation of a modern, strong country of Azerbaijan," they stated.
Speaking at the event, Yusif Balakishiyev, a student of the Salakatin village secondary school, and Aydan Aslanzade, representative of the Assembly of Ambassadors for Khojavend region, gave detailed information about the role of young people in promoting the tragedy, as well as the exceptional activities of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev in raising the modern young generation in a patriotic spirit.
