On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, "GALA" Greece-Azerbaijan Friendship Society and Azerbaijan House held an event in Thessaloniki.
SIA reports that Rashid Mammadov, the chairman of "GALA" Greece-Azerbaijan Friendship Society and Azerbaijan House, opened the event with a speech and gave detailed information to the members of the Society and the guests who participated in the event about the life of the Great Leader, his rich and multifaceted political activities, and the genius personality in the establishment of the modern independent state of Azerbaijan. The chairman also spoke about his great role in Azerbaijan's development and stressed that Azerbaijanis living abroad, including in Greece, are deeply connected to the legacy of Heydar Aliyev and his Azerbaijani ideology.
Turkologist scholar Sokrat Bey Angelidis opened a conversation about the genius of the Great Leader and shared his thoughts on the history of Azerbaijan as well.
At the end of the event, a film about the life and activities of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was presented to the audience.
