The Food Safety Agency continues to take measures to protect consumer rights and ensure food safety.
According to the Information Assurance and Innovative Solutions Department of the Agency, on December 19, during the monitoring of 37 commercial and 6 public catering establishments operating in the field of food in the territory of the republic, defects were found in a total of 35 establishments, SIA reports.
25 defect related to the lack of initial and periodical medical examination of the employees included in the mandatory group, 4 related to the acceptance of animal products without a veterinary certificate or reference, 7 related to the sale of products without labeling in the Azerbaijani language, 21 related to the absence of a food safety registration extract, and 1 related to non-compliance with the requirements for openly sold dairy products was found in the enterprises. Appropriate measures have been taken in accordance with the requirements of the legislation regarding the detected defects.
