81,8% of Azerbaijani population take negative attitude on Russian peacekeepers -SURVEY

Azerbaijani community takes negative attitude on Russian peacekeepers’ activity.

According to the survey made by Social Research Center on December 5-11, 2022 among Azerbaijani people, 81,8% of respondents take a negative attitude toward Russian peacekeepers. Those who have positive attitudes made up 6,9%. 11,3% of respondents found it difficult to answer the question.

During the survey, respondents were asked about their position on the question “What do you think about the duration of stay of Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh?" According to the results, society has various views on this issue. Thus, 49,0 percent of respondents think that peacekeepers will leave Karabakh when the 5-year term is completed. However, 37,2 percent of them have uncertain opinions about their duration of stay in Karabakh. 13,8 percent of respondents found it difficult to answer this question.

Note that 390 respondents over the age of 18 took part in the survey based on the principle of volunteering. Surveys were conducted in the form of telephone interviews and covered 12 economic districts. The selection frame was determined according to the international methodology and proportional to the population. The results of the survey are within a 95 percent confidence interval with a margin of error of 5 percent.
