Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources carries out environmental monitoring in Caspian Sea

The expedition group, which started monitoring in the Caspian Sea from November 4 with the scientific research ship named after Alif Hajiyev of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, analyzed the hydrobiological situation of the Caspian Sea and carried out environmental monitoring in Lankaran, Kurdili and Southeast Goltuk areas.

"During the expedition, water, soil, bottom sediments, zooplankton, benthos, air samples were taken at 17 locations, hydrometeorological measurements and various studies on components have been carried out," the head of the expedition group, and the head of the Caspian Complex Ecological Monitoring Department, Nazim Mahmudov, informed.

According to the head of the group, monitoring will continue until November 17. Research works will be carried out in the "Sangachal-Duvanni-Khara-Zira" and "8 Mart" fields in the upcoming days.
