The Turkic world consists not only of independent Turkic states but also wider geographical boundaries, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said at the 9th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Samarkand on November 11, SİA informs.
"I think that the time has come to keep issues such as protecting the rights, security, and national identity of our compatriots living outside the countries that are members of the Organization of Turkic States and preventing their assimilation permanently in the spotlight within the framework of the organization," he said.
