Necessary work was done on the return and search of our military personnel who were captured and missing during the Patriotic War, and this activity is still being continued, said by the head of the State Security Service, chairman of the State Commission on Prisoners and Missing and Hostage Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Nagiyev, SİA report.
He said that as a result of the operative and urgent measures carried out by the commission within the framework of cooperation with the relevant state bodies and international institutions, it became known that 12 of our servicemen were wounded and captured during combat operations, and with the mediation of international organizations, they were released in a short time and returned to their homeland:
"However, unfortunately, the fate of 6 of our servicemen is still unclear and the search process for them is currently being actively continued. We believe that the longing of their loved ones and family members will end soon and the fate of our servicemen will be clarified soon."
