Russian MFA: Prospect of a peace treaty between Baku and Yerevan was discussed at the tripartite meeting

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan the prospects of opening regional transport links, concluding a peace treaty between Baku and Yerevan, and other issues, SİAt reports citing the information of the Russian Foreign Ministry regarding the trilateral meeting held in Astana.

"The ministers discussed joint efforts to normalize Azerbaijan-Armenia relations and confirmed their commitment to the comprehensive compliance with all provisions of the trilateral statements of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Russia dated November 9, 2020, January 11, and November 26, 2021. The issues of opening economic and transport relations in the region through the Trilateral Working Group co-chaired by the Deputy Prime Ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia and the work of the commission on the delimitation of the Azerbaijan-Armenia border with the help of Russia's consultation were reviewed. Special attention was paid to the progress of the negotiations on the conclusion of the peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia," said the statement of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
