The plenary session of the 6th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) is underway in Astana on October 13.

The agenda of the event includes issues of economic cooperation in Asia, maintaining peace and stability on the continent, as well as topics of humanitarian cooperation. At the initiative of the Kazakh chairmanship, it is planned to launch negotiations on reforming the association.
The summit is attended by countries that occupy about 90% of the territory of Asia and in which almost half of the world's population lives. The Conference brings together 27 states, including Russia, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Iran, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, Palestine, Tajikistan, Turkiye and Uzbekistan.
