Azerbaijan submits all materials related to Armenian crimes to European Court

All materials related to Armenian crimes committed against the people of Azerbaijan have been submitted to the European Court, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan Chingiz Asgarov said at a conference organized by the Center for Social Research (STM) on "Armenia's war crimes against Azerbaijan in the last 30 years," Report informs.

According to him, Azerbaijan defends its just position:

"Azerbaijan defends its rights in international courts. We have been doing this since 2003. After the complaint of Chiragov and others against Armenia was received in the European Court, the state of Azerbaijan began to deal more closely with this case. In 2015, the decision of the European Court in the case of Chiragov and others against Armenia referred to the Hague Convention and its statutes, which already contain war crimes, and for the first time in history, the fact that Armenia occupied part of the territory of Azerbaijan was reflected in the decision of the international court."

The Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court emphasized that in October 2020, the state of Azerbaijan appealed to the European Court with an interstate complaint.

"In January 2021, Azerbaijan submitted a major interstate complaint. In that complaint, of course, the acts constituting the war crimes committed by Armenia were reflected in detail. I am sure that we will win. I am sure that the European Court will make a fair decision and compensation will be determined for Armenia to restore the violated rights of the people of Azerbaijan," he added.
