"Happy 104th anniversary of the liberation of Baku from enemy occupation," Turkish Minister of Defense, Hulusi Akar, wrote on Twitter, SİA informs.
"We commemorate Nuri (Killigil) Pasha and the heroic martyrs and veterans of the Caucasian Islamic Army under his command with mercy, gratitude, and respect, and we sincerely congratulate our Azerbaijani Turkish brothers on this special day," the minister tweeted.
September 15 is the anniversary of the liberation of Baku from the Armenian-Bolshevik occupation. Thus, 104 years have passed since the independence of the capital of Azerbaijan. On September 15, 1918, Azerbaijani and Turkish soldiers liberated Baku from the Bolshevik-Dashnak occupation and wrote a glorious day in the history of Azerbaijan.
