The editor-in-chief of '' SAS'' (Voice) newspaper and media expert Bahruz Guliyev told when he denounce some persons who campaign against in a biased manner the Fund of State Support for Development of Mass Media under the President of Azerbaijan.
According to him, anyone can say their individual opinions, but it does not mean that those persons can approach maliciously towards themes what they want and express their wrong thoughts to the public: "It's not a secret that, there are anti-media campaigns that target the succesfull policy of Azerbaijani press.
"I would like to emphasize that, the media policy in Azerbaijan is formed by specific programs of the state, and the personal right of President Ilham Aliyev. At the same time, our Constitution contains provisions governing the activities of the press. He said that, the President gave numerous orders for the development of the press of country and adopted state programs: "One of them is the Fund of State Support for Development of Mass Media under the President of Azerbaijan, besides providing financial assistance to the mass media it also contributes the protection of freedom of speech, and freedom of expression. We can say that, the Azerbaijani press is at a level that can compete with the world press. "
According to the expert, some groups and suppliers are now unmasking themselves by targeting contemporary media of Azerbaijan to implement their own personal, financial and political interests: " The fact that, they do not have any idea about financing procedure and the criteria set by the Fund.
Each criteria is based on serious factors, at the same time proving the strictness of our press. I think that, the work of the Fund of State Support for Development of Mass Media is quite objective, transparent and impartial.
The expert underlined that, Fund of State Support for Development of Mass Media also funds "SAS" newspaper: "With the help of this funding, we are more agile and operational, and we come out to our valued readers with high quality articles, comments. Therefore some people, when expressing their opinions, should be based on concrete facts but I don't think they have any facts about it, because their approach is nothing more than bias and slander. "
